Lighting, fans & power points in Plainland.
New lights, ceiling fans, extra power points, indoors and out.
Never enough power points, dark corners in the kitchen, bedrooms that cook all summer. Small electrical jobs make the biggest daily difference.
We install LED downlights, ceiling fans, outdoor and security lighting, and as many power points as real life actually needs.
Lighting that suits the room.
Good lighting is layers, not one bright dome in the middle of the ceiling. Warm dimmable LEDs where you relax, strong even light over benches where you work, sensors where your hands are full.
We plan positions with you before a single hole is cut, because a downlight in the wrong spot annoys you for a decade. LEDs also sip power, so the upgrade quietly pays for itself on the bill.
Ceiling fans that earn their keep.
Around Plainland a good fan is the cheapest cooling there is, and the difference between a bedroom you sleep in and one you avoid until ten at night. Modern DC fans move more air on a fraction of the power and are near silent.
We hang them properly: rated for the location, balanced so they do not wobble, on the right control so the aircon becomes the backup plan instead of the default.
Power points where you actually need them.
Old houses were wired for a kettle and a telly. Now every bench, bedside and desk wants power and USB. Extension leads and double adaptors are the usual fix, and they are exactly how boards get overloaded.
Adding points is quick work for a licensed sparky: on the wall you want, at the height you want, on circuits that can carry them. Say the word and we will do the whole house in a visit.
Outdoor and security lighting.
Sensor floods over the driveway, soft lighting on the patio, a switch for the shed path so nobody walks it in the dark. Outdoor work is where DIY gets people in trouble, because weatherproofing and RCD protection are not optional.
Everything we fit outside is rated for it, sealed properly, and protected, so it keeps working through storm season instead of tripping the board every time it rains.

Fair questions
Lighting, fans & power points FAQs.
Can you install fans I have already bought?
Yes. Supply your own or have us supply them; either way they get installed to spec and tested. If a fan you bought is wrong for the spot, we will say so before it goes up.
How many downlights does a room need?
Fewer than most people think, in the right places. We work it out per room based on size and use rather than blanketing the ceiling.
Is it worth adding USB power points?
In kitchens, bedsides and offices, absolutely. They free up the point for appliances and remove a pile of chargers. Cheap to add while we are already there.
Can you add a power point to a brick or tiled wall?
Yes. It takes more care and the right gear, but brick, block and tile are all routine. We chase or surface-mount depending on the finish you want.
